The Call of The Desert

"The Call of the Desert" is a condensed experience that allows the traveler to enjoy a large part of the landscapes, geography and lifestyles of Morocco. The route takes you from the metropolitan city of Marrakech to the Berber villages located in the foothills of the mountains along the Atlas Mountains, where the mountains change color and shape frequently, renewing every corner of the road. by the eyes.you will have the opportunity to visit many attractions on the road, including the magnificent kasbahs of Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, Merzouga, and the beautiful greenfly Draa Valley.

DAY 1 MARRAKECH

Upon your arrival at Menara airport, you will be welcomed by your guide. He will be pleased to transfer you to your place of stay where you can enjoy the rest of the night. Dinner will be served according to the timetable of your arrival.

DAY 2 MARRAKECH

After your breakfast, you will get ready to begin your journey by visiting “The Pearl of the South”. This tour will take you to the gardens of Menara Palace in Bahia, to the Saadian tombs, ending with a visit outside of the Koutoubia. Following your lunch break, you will be strolling in the souks of the medina, exploring its various districts. You will end the tour with a visit of Djemaa El Fna square where the usual show takes place: snake charmers, acrobats, monkey trainers, storytellers etc...Eventually, you will enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel/Riad.

DAY 3 MARRAKECH - OUARZAZATE

After breakfast, you will prepare for your departure of Ouarzazate. You’ll find yourself through the High Atlas with a parade of varied landscapes and enchanting villages. The driver will take a stop at the Tizi-n-Tichka located at 2260 m, highest road point in Morocco. Afterwards, you will go down to Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou where you’ll have lunch in front of the Kasbah, a classified world heritage site by Unesco and famous for its many film shootings. Then, you’ll spend time in Taourirt Kasbah. At the end of the day, you’ll check into your place of stay for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 4 OUARZAZATE – ZAGORA

After your breakfast, you will head to Zagora, by crossing the mountain to Agdz, a small village that overlooks the huge cliff of Jebel Kissane, which marks the boundary of the eastern foothills of the Anti- Atlas. Then, you will continue directly to Zagora along the Draa River bordered by a multitude of palm and fifty Kasbah and Ksour. Succeeding your lunch break, you will pursue your way to the Oasis of Tamegroute where you’ll visit the library with its medieval Coranic works. Then, you will join Tinfou Dunes for a first glimpse of the desert. At the end, you will be transferred to your place of stay for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 5 ZAGORA - TAZZARINE - ERFOUD

After having breakfast, it’s time for the departure of Erfoud, you’ll enjoy the ride by Tansikht through the beautiful and greenful Draa valley . After having an exquisite lunch in Tazzarine, you will continue to Erfoud. The driver will stop in Rissani to contemplate the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, founder of the Alawite dynasty. Ultimately, you will go to your place of stay for dinner and accommodation.
Optional: possibility to stay overnight in nomads tents on the dunes of Merzouga.

DAY 6 ERFOUD - TINEGHIR or BOULAMANE

After breakfast, you’ll depart this time to Tinghir. You will start by crossing into the Todra Gorge which happen to be a narrow corridor of about twenty meters consisting of two high cliffs of 300m. And then, on the road leading to the gorges, you’ll be able to enjoy the fabulous palm trees of Tinghir. Following your lunch in the Gorge, you will stroll through the gardens of the park and visit a Berber carpet factory. Eventually, you’ll check into your hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Optional: You can continue your way to to Boulmane Dades, for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 7 TINEGHIR or BOULMANE - OUARZAZATE MARRAKECH

After breakfast, you will head toward Ouarzazate via the road lined with numerous Kasbahs and along the Dades Valley. You’ll cross the city of Kelâa M'Gouna, which is famous for its roses. Then stop at the Kasbah Amridil in the palm grove of Skoura. Your lunch will be served in Ouarzazate before your continuation to Marrakech. After your arrival you’ll be transferred to your place of stay for dinner and accommodation

Optional: Dinner Show Chez Ali Fantasia.

DAY 8 MARRAKECH

After breakfast, according to your flight departure schedule, you’ll slightly prepare your luggage full of joyful memories and head to the airport.
